Posted April 30, 2008 SPECIAL EVENTS We are now in the midst of
planning our first annual fundraising AUCTION, to be held on Tuesday
August 5th at Digby Regional High School. The evening will start at 6.30
pm with a Silent Auction and Book Sale, followed by the Live Auction at
7.30 pm. All proceeds will go to the shelter to help with the rescue of
homeless, abandoned and abused animals >>> Watch this space for news of other
fund-raising events, including our annual Yard Sale <<< Although dog adoptions have been on the rise the Shelter is full to the rafters with lots of adorable kittens looking for good homes. Once again, we have been pleased to participate in the Student Work Experience Program. Kali Robicheau, a Grade 11 student from Digby Regional High School, joined us for a three week placement, commencing April 1st.

Be advised that this is a common ruse used by puppy mill operators to get unwanted puppies as objects to sell for profit. Don't be their supplier - Spay or neuter your dogs! If you think you know of

Lucky winners of a beautiful quilt in the recent raffle are: Dave and Connie Currie of Kingston Thanks to all who purchased
tickets in the draw which raised $1063 for the Dave and Connie are generously going to raffle the quilt to raise money for the Companion Animal Protective Society. So the quilt will continue it's journey to raise funds in support of homeless animals. Hats off to Dave and Connie! |
